If you would like to get a deeper insight into the history and culture of the lipstick then you will have to visit Berlin's Lipstick Museum, founded by make up artist René Koch in his private apartment. The museum offers several hundred lipsticks from its birthday in 1883 (invented by French perfumers) until today. With vintage ads, personal lipsticks and kissed lip prints from popular ladies from the past and present plus an informative guided tour from the enthusiastic owner, the museum is a lovely place that takes you on a journey through time dedicated to this very female make up accessory that Sarah Bernhardt passionately named stylo d'amour.
